Salary Range: CAD$ 135K - 175K

Principal Responsibilities

  • Scientific lead for in vivo pharmacology, PK/BD and toxicology studies.
  • Lead preclinical studies in-house and at contract research organizations (CROs) to support candidate selection and advance development programs and platform innovation.
  • Mentor and train team members in the pharmacology group.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide scientific input and design, execute, and interpret studies.
  • Write and review study protocols and reports, analyze results, present findings, and contribute to authoring manuscripts and regulatory filings.
  • Identify and implement new pharmacology models, technologies, and strategies to develop targeted cancer radiotherapies.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

PhD in Pharmacology, Oncology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toxicology or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of industry experience in preclinical drug discovery and development

Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in relevant in vivo oncology/pharmacology models.
  • Prior experience conducting in vivo studies with CROs, IND-enabling studies and supporting IND submissions.
  • R&D experience with antibody-based therapeutics, radiopharmaceuticals and in vivo imaging studies is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and develop effective relationships with key partners.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment.
  • Experience with supervising and mentoring research staff.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
